Didi Hamann Details Why Zinedine Zidane Won't
Former Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder Didi Hamann has given his thoughts on why Zinedine Zidane will not be taking over as Bayern Munich manager.
Zidane has been linked with the Bayern job ever since Hansi Flick announced that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season. However, Hamann believes that Zidane will not be interested in the job because he is not a "yes man".
"Zidane is not a yes man," Hamann said. "He is his own man and he wants to be in control of his team. Bayern Munich is a big club with a lot of tradition and history, and I don't think Zidane would be willing to give up control of the team to the club's hierarchy."
Hamann also believes that Zidane is not the right fit for Bayern Munich because he does not have experience managing in Germany.
"Zidane has never managed in Germany before, and I think that would be a big disadvantage for him," Hamann said. "The Bundesliga is a very different league to La Liga or Serie A, and I think it would take Zidane time to adjust to the German game."
